The IDL User Group Meeting 2012 will be held September 18-19 at LASP’s beautiful Space Science Building (SPSC) on CU Boulder’s East Campus.
On the first day, we’re planning a series of short workshops on selected topics in IDL (bring a laptop, if you wish), as well as presentations by the IDL development team and a user discussion group. User presentations and a visualization contest will follow on the second day. If you’re interested in presenting at the meeting (and we still need a few more speakers), please find information on submitting an abstract here. Likewise, guidelines for the visualization contest can be found here; send us your best, though, because I’ve already seen some very cool entries. All entries/abstracts need to be in by August 31.
Our keynote speaker will be Adam Lefkoff. Adam is one of the creators of ENVI, and he’s promised to talk about how much fun it was to develop ENVI with IDL.
Lunch will be provided both days.
There’s no fee for the meeting, but please register if you plan to attend so we can estimate how much coffee, donuts and lunch to order.
Please join us!

Will the presentations by the IDL development team be posted on youtube for us international users of IDL?
